We’re Doing Our Part to Keep Healthcare Workers Safe
During the COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare workers on the frontlines have been facing dangers they never expected. Especially due to widespread equipment shortages, doctors and nurses themselves are getting sick after exposure to the novel coronavirus. All of us owe support to our healthcare workers who are facing these dangers day in and day out. Staying home has helped decrease the number of COVID-19 cases, but without proper protective equipment, our healthcare workers will continue to be at risk until a vaccine can be found.
KN95 masks are one of the few types approved for use by medical workers who are caring for COVID-19 patients. The masks filter out airborne particles through which the novel coronavirus can be transmitted. Having an adequate supply of masks is essential to hospital workers’ health. Though global supply lines are stretched thin, resulting in equipment shortages nationwide, companies like ours have been able to secure protective equipment for local healthcare workers and facilities.
Over 4,000 Face Masks Distributed
Richard Schwartz & Associates Injury Lawyer, P.A. has done its best to support local companies and communities in need since the beginning of the pandemic. Our recent donation of 1,000 KN95 masks to the University of Mississippi Medical Center of Jackson is our 4th such contribution—other recipients include hospitals and nursing homes in Meridian, Hattiesburg, Tupelo, and Jackson. Our firm is grateful to have the resources not only to weather this pandemic while caring for our staff and clients but also to support those who need it most.
We are longtime supporters of UMMC Jackson: For 15 years, we’ve partnered with the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children to raise money during their annual Mississippi Miracles Radiothon. We are proud to continue collaborating with UMMC personnel to support essential services for our community.
