Safety on the road starts with a car that is safely operating. The following car companies have issued a recall on certain models. If your car is effected it's important to have the defective part replaced. BMW has recalled the following make and model numbers: BMW / 328I and BMW / 335I, manufactured from February 9, 2001- July 29, 2011. The front driveshaft attachment bolts may not have been tightened to meet their standards and if they become loose it could cause a loss of power to the front wheels resulting in a possible car accident.
Hyundai has recalled certain models of their Santa Fe and Vera Cruz vehicles that were manufactured from December 26, 2006-March 21, 2008. The clock spring contact assembly for the driver’s airbag supplemental restraint system (SRS) can become damaged over time and can cause the airbag to not deploy if there is an accident.
Subaru has recalled certain model year 2011 Outback and Legacy vehicles manufactured from August 2, 2010 – July 1, 2011. The moon roof can loosen and the glass can become detached causing injury or a potential road hazard for other vehicles. They have also recalled certain model year 2010-2011 Outback and Legacy vehicles manufactured from January 7, 2010 – May 20, 2011 because the wiper motor bottom cover can become overheated and poses a potential fire hazard.
